There is a poster saying "Americas Alertmen Learn to spot them!" It also has a fighter plane with the Japanese war symbol. This makes me think that the people in the U.S. wanted people to report if they say a fighter plane because of the title and picture.

The evacuation form tells you how to evacuate. it says to read it and keep it close. This makes me think that a lot of people weren't taught so they had to hand these out. The most important thing about this is to read it so you knew hot to evacuate. I didn't expect they had these because I thought they already had basements or dens or hideouts to hide in. it tells the mothers to keep kids under five in their watch. This makes me think that they wanted them to keep close if there was a sudden bombing or such.

I notice the Indians joined the japanese army. This makes me think that the Indians were cowards and thought that they would be treated better if they joined. I also notice that the British had the Indians as slaves. This must be another push facto that made them join the japanese army.

In the song, The Sun Has Got His Hat On, I think it's about the war ending because it says,"Dull days are over" This could mean the war is ending because the days are no longer miserable. I think it was upbeat because the people wanted to be positive even though it was hard to.

I notice that a lot of the paper is about the war, but has jokes or comics . This makes me think that the newspaper is trying to tell the reader that "There is a war going on but don't panic." It could also be that they want people to relax and not to stress out so they put the comics in to keep thier spirits up/.

I am shocked of how many people were killed. About 62,000,000 people died. This makes me think that when the soldiers fought and bombed each other, they were ruthless because by the number, it seems they didn't think twice before going on and killing millions of people. This paper was created to show how many people died. It might also be to make people feel greatful for surviving the war.

The Civil War is like the WW2 because they both wanted power like the colonist wanted their own land and no king and the Germans and Japanese wanted power over the world. It is different however because WW2 as world wide and the Civil War was in one colony only. Also, it wasn't as gruesome.
