I made our own poster by printing out the 10s grids and we have made it to 16 so far. I did add a couple of dice in the 20's grid. We are close. I'm really liking this one. They see their progress and work to get to the dice spots.

Recalls

Some of the recalls we were already using in class, so to add some "spice" to it, I printed out a list of them and our calendar person on Monday picks a new one to do for the week. We have about 5 and use them pretty regularly.

I'm enjoying reading the book and can see where the activities will definitely increase student engagement as well as create a happy & safe environment. I think the names of the animals, using wrong way turtle and right way hawk, seem a little young for 4rd graders. I can see some of my students making fun of those names. So I would want to change up the names to fit their age group. Possibly try to incorporate MG Stars as well.

Would love to implement more of the games when we return from fall break. That way I have time to prepare and even place reminders in lessons.

I have implemented the 6 Rules. The students love it and are great with reciting them all. We have also used Mirror Words and it is a great tool when teaching.

Starries and Super Improver

I for sure what to implement the super improver to focus on progress for many of my students I'd also like to implement starries eventually.

I love this book and have found that there are many strategies I would love to implement. I am def needing to breath and add things in one at a time. It feels very overwhelming because I love so much of the strategies. My kids love wrong way hawk and right way turtle. I love the part about the piece circle. I want to create a positive and uplifting classroom.

I have implemented a few of the strategies. Today, I tried Teach/ Okay when sharing our reading EL. It took a few tries, but I loved the student engagement.

We also tried 3peat today. It was great to see some of the BR's join in.

I would love a resource for the Starries, Locks, etc. I may not have gotten far enough in the book for a reference to these. I would really like to be able to print and go, instead of having to create everything. Anyone got a great resource?

Improvers/ dojo

Our team is heavily into classdojo. Is it worth trying to implement the super improver into the student dojo points? Is tracking both too much? Just thinking...
