Why bother, when people above you keep you down.

When the people of innovation, destroy it

How they teach you to think for the future, they never abide

How the younger generations,

Should save the world

Why bother, when the things you learn aren’t practical

When mismanagement is rampant

When the world is being destroyed,

And the people at the top are keeping it that way

Why bother, when the richest make half the money

When a 100 corporations decide global warming

When half the world is underfed

Yet the other half is throwing a third of their food away

Why bother, when countries are strict

Running for your life is discouraged

Wanting a good life takes too long to get

Why should skin color decide your fate?

And why shouldn’t we be treated all the same

Why do some histories get praised

While others are tucked away

How massacres and erosion of culture

Gets buried

And how even the great things

Are still evil

How people could be washed away

By governments that think you aren’t important

How they integrate you with their culture

By forcing you to

How a piece of chocolate

Could be made by child slaves

And how your clothes and toys

Are made by people prosecuted for their religion
        How the internet brought us freedom,
Yet was used to trap us
And how people are stuck and reliant on it
But people that don't have it,
need it the most

And after thousands of years, these problems prevail.
