Munch! I was in my local school munching on my food with my friends when my teacher said that I was going to change schools.My whole body was shivering like an earthquake happening. I kept on thinking

about my friends. I couldn’t focus on my work.When I got home, the first thing I did was to ask my mum if I was really changing schools. “ Mum, what’s happening? Am I really changing schools?” “We know you were happy there. But we found a better school.” Mum said.

Firstly, I thought that changing schools was a joke.The next day, I asked my mum if I was actually going to change schools.She nodded her face with a sad and happy and sad face.I was shivering with fear.All my thoughts were about my friends. My heart was pounding like a gorilla punching the ground. Later that day, my teacher asked me what school I was going to go to, so I said “I don’t really know what school I'm going to because I just knew that I was going to change schools yesterday!” MY teacher replied”ok” .When I went home, I saw my mum hanging a new school uniform. “What are you doing with a new school uniform?” I asked.”It’s your new school uniform! You are going to UWCSEA!” Mum replied. I had different types of feelings in my head.

Will I not see my friends again? I wondered. I was sad for the rest of the day. I couldn’t sleep that day. “ Cheer up ! You will make new friends!” Mum said. Yeah right. Make new friends. I wondered. But I will get a better education! The next day… “ I’m late! Mum, call the taxi! Hurry up!” I said. “There is no school today!” Mum shouted. “ Oh… um…. Ok? But there is school tomorrow right?” I asked. “ No. You will not have school maybe until next week.”Mum said. For one week I had to stay home. One week later… “ Yawn… mum why are you in such a hurry?” I asked. “ You have school today!” Mum said. 10 minutes later… “I’m ready! Mum call the taxi!” I said. “Ok” mum replied. We reached the school in 20 minutes.“ Go to the infant block, then go up the stairs until you reach the 3rd floor, then go to 1pth.” Mum said. I did what my mum said. When I saw the class 1pth, my heart was pounding hard. When I went in… “WELCOME TO 1PTH!” the students and teachers shouted. “Ummm… hi?” I said. “ Hi! What’s your name?Mine is Jaden. The kid beside me is Riku. He is Japanese too!” Jaden said. “Hi Jaden and Riku! My name is Shotaro. You can call me Sho for short.” I said. “ Hi! My name is Hamza. What’s your name?” Hamza asked. “Hi Hamza! My name is Shotaro! You can call me Sho for short.” I said. At snack time and lunch time, Me, Jaden, Hamza, and Riku played and ate together.
