I'm Matthew and I am currently part time faculty at Oregon State University and Linn Benton Community College. I have been teaching photography and digital art classes at the college level for 4 years now and will continue this into the fall term. I have been living in Salem for the past year and before that I lived in Iowa City, Iowa. I do not miss the extreme colds (or heats) of the midwest. I play Ice Hockey in Eugene on Sundays so I'm excited that we do Monday to Monday in this class. First game of the season is this weekend. That is a picture of my family after the state championship game. I coach with my brother and my Dad is the head coach. Left to right; my brother, sister in-law, myself, my daughter, my wife, mom and dad. Dad just finished his 31 year at the school we all graduated from and the field in the pictured is named after my grandfather, so it is very special moment for my family.

As most of you know by now, I am an advanced math teacher at the high school level.

I spent my summer teaching summer school, accepting a position at another high school, moving to a new city, going on multiple out of state trips for work and leisure, and renovating my parents' garage. I love traveling, playing basketball, kayaking, cooking, spending quality time with family, and so many other things. Last but not least, I am getting two French bulldogs soon, and I could not be more happy about it!
