This book is about a bunch of farm animals and a little blue truck that gets stuck in the mud. The animals help get the truck out of the mud. This book models friendship and how important it is to help others out along the way. This book is appropriate for grades K-2 and is considered a level H reading level. This book would be interesting to kids who love farm animals. This book would also be a great example to read to kids to model reading with expression, since there are a lot of pop out words and animal sounds in the book. I read this book in October 2018.

He tore apart the cupboard, pulled up the floor and tore the roof down trying to find the noise. The owl ended up finding the noise and simply said "Good night, noise."

This book is about how Malala wished for a magic pencil, but she never received one. Instead, she decided to write about her own experiences in school and her home country, so that people around the world could read about her experiences. I liked this book because it reminded me to think of the world as a whole instead of individual countries and states. This book would be eye opening for some kids to realize how good they have it in the United States. This book is considered a level M reading level. I read this book in October 2018.
