         <description><![CDATA[<div>1.  (1) The function of the U.S Constitution is to maintain the checks and balances and to establish justice <br>    (2) The function of the judiciary Act of 1789 was that it established the supreme court and the federal court system<br>    (3)  The function  of the judiciary Act of 1891 was that it created the court of Appeal. There were nine that were created for each judicial circuit. <br>2. The Virginia plan was a proposal that was drafted by James Madison in 1787 proposing that the government be separated in three branches. While the New Jersey plan was drafted by William Patterson calling for two house of congress and that each state should have  one voter in congress who has been elected by the population. One of the differences between the Virginia plan and the New Jersey plan was the Virginia plan called for two members of the house to be appointed while the New Jersey plan called for one member of the house to be appointed  <br>3. Article 3 section of the United States constitution states that the supreme court should be the highest from of court system in the U.S above all other courts and it should also be separated from the house and the president.  <br>4. Appellate jurisdiction is when a court hears cases that have been appealed. Whereas original jurisdiction is when a court has to hear a case an example would be civil courts. The original jurisdiction courts hear cases first and when the case gets put up for an appeal it goes to an appellate jurisdiction court.  <br>5.  A Writ of certiorari is when the supreme court orders a lower court to send over records of a case they have decided on for further review <br>6. 9 justice members</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>7. Article 1 courts review agency decisions, ancillary courts with judges appointed by article III appeals court judges, or administrative agencies. Article 3 courts are U.S. Supreme Court and the inferior courts of the United States established by Congress, which currently are the 13 United States courts of appeals, the 91 United States district courts.<br>8. United States Tax courts. They handle disputes over federal income tax.<br>9.She was the second female and the first Jewish female justice of the Supreme Court. She eventually became the longest-serving Jewish justice. She was also director of the woman's rights project.<br>10.
