He wasn't sure who to believe so he had to get the story from a different perspective. My prediction is that Conor might end up moving with his dad because his mother passed. Another prediction that I have is that if Conor moves , the monster might follow him there as well. Her memories are long gone , her most prized possessions were in ashes , and and barely even had somewhere to lay her head. She was also probably in shock because she couldn't believe how much he had actually destroyed. Yeah he may not have liked her but I think we all know that that was extreme. I don't think she'll ever have time to explain whats she has or what's going to happen because he's mad at her. He also nearly got expelled for beating up a kid. For example ,in the first tale , the monster talks about how there was a king who had four sons that were later on killed while battling. The king's grandson was the latest heir to take the throne. He was forced to marry his step-grandmother but he refused and instead wanted to marry a farmer's daughter.
