1.  Some people believe Marco Polo was from a wealthy family.
2.  Marco was named after Saint Mark.
3.  He was at Kubla Khan's court for seventeen years.
4.  Marco Polo met a king with 400 wives.
5.  He kept a journal of things he saw and turned it into a book.
6.  Kubla Khan's death was in 1294.
7.  Some people knew so little about Asia and Europe that they believed stories that people there had heads like dogs!
8.  A caravan the Polos were with was attacked by bandits, and they managed to escape but some people died.
9.  He died January 9, 1324.
10. The journey was very hard.
