My heartfelt appreciation to ALL of my teachers, coaches, staff, and community members from 1971 to 1975! A group of people who were so committed, passionate, and dedicated to the students. They were kind and patient in seeing the gifts each of us brought to the table, and they allowed us to positively express ourselves.

From Frank Dippery and his engaging English classes (along with his silly jokes), to Kathy Quirk Otero pushing us to our limits and showing us that all is possible if you stay committed, to Ester in the dining hall who welcomed everyone with a smile, and to Arthur with his hearty laugh and positive outlook.

I wish I could shout out to every Hun person who touched my life in the 1970s, but space does not allow it. Their commitment in the classroom, on the field, in the community, and in the dorms contributed immensely to the culture and community of our school. We were all part of ‘the Hun family.’

Jasmin Leary Barry ‘75

Hun is what our family calls home! Starting high school for our daughter in 2020 was not easy, with COVID being the biggest pest that we saw. However, she fit into the Hun community right from day 1.

Despite a hybrid school year, the best friendships were made in advisory. Big shout out to Mr. Otis Douce who has been a friend, mentor, and advisor (many tears were shed in his office and big plans made as well) and has kept the group together for the last 4 years.

Shout out goes to Mrs. Radha Mishra, who has not just been the best college counselor for our daughter but feels like a part of our family now. No matter the day or time, she always has made us comfortable by patiently answering any questions we have had.

Hun has given so many opportunities to our daughter which I doubt any other school could have given! From organizing Diwali, the biggest event on campus, to trips in the US and internationally, to sports; Hun has been there to support her, and we are forever grateful for the opportunities that she has received, to be where she is today. We are proud of our daughter and cannot be more thankful to Hun for the last 4 years. We will miss Hun!!!

Nita Velanki P '24

Hun educators are extraordinarily special! From middle school and now in high school, our son's teachers have all been dynamic, selfless, and caring. Our son can't wait to return each and every day to campus and that is a testament to the ethos at Hun and the people - Hun faculty, staff, and coaches are gems! Therefore, we express our gratitude as Hun parents and proudly participate in the Hun Fund each and every year.

Jenn and Tom Harris P '27

Everything Mr.Bright has helped me with has truly gone a long way. The long extra help hours and even making free time to meet with me whether it was during his lunch break or before he had to coach basketball. He has always strived for his students to do better and to succeed as eat day goes by. Mr. Bright is truly one of the brightest!

Hannah Yanni '24
