Question 1:
no, i would not exercise like the one shown in the video, because i prefer doing exercises that would be able to help me lose more calories like running, basketball and table tennis rather then those exercises that is slower and less effective in keeping fit. I normally do martial arts, muay thai to keep myself fit.

Question 2:
I think that older people may enjoy slow paced dancing, as it is not a strenuous activity and is a sport that can be enjoyed with a group of people. Every week, my grandmother would go with her friends to go to do a slow paced dance, and they enjoyed it as it can not only keep them fit, but can also give them a chance to socialise with one another.

Question 3:
I agree that how we enjoy life is up to us and not our age as age does not affect how we enjoy our lives. It is the motivation and the willingness to go outside our comfort zone. To many others, elderly are seen as fragile beings that could not exercise. However, these exercises help them to step out of their comfort zone.

1) No, I would not like to do exercises like the one shown in the video. Generally, I have a very low level of patience and will not have the mental capacity to complete one whole session of that slow-paced exercise. Furthermore, I prefer doing high-energy sports like running or something that requires me to move around a lot. I find other ways of improving my physical well-being through activities and exercises like floorball and volleyball.

2) I think older people, especially the elderly, can engaging in physical activities such as dancing, and attend Zumba classes. They can listen to their favourite music and learn dance moves. Also, as Zumba classes are carried out in groups, it can be used as social events. The elderly can dance with their friends and have fun together. Zumba classes can also be conducted almost anywhere, from parks to indoor studios. This makes it easier and more accessible to the elderly.

3) I completely agree with this statement. There is another saying that goes "age is just a number", and I find this to be true. If we stay physically and mentally healthy, we can continue to live well even as we add decades to our age. Furthermore, age can also be an advantage. With age comes experience, and we can use what we learn throughout our lives to know what we enjoy and do not. Therefore, I agree completely with this view.

qn1. no i would not. i feel that as teenagers we're more inclined to actively participate in more vigorous activities, rather than to participate in the slow pacing ones. for example, volleyball and track and field. these are one of the many strenuous activities that teenagers prefer to do. i feel that it is because teenagers are rather energetic as compared to the elders who may not have the capabilities to actively take part in strenuous exercises; even jogging might seem challenging for some.

qn2. one other exercise that older people might enjoy would be aerobic exercises such as brisk walking, yoga and even cycling. these exercises are not as risky and do not pose danger to the elderly. it is also effective in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and allow for greater interaction with other people.

qn3. yes i agree with the view. i do not think that age matters when it comes to enjoying life, in my opinion one should always live in the moment and do whatever we please. for example, actively participating in sports when we age, which is also a dime a dozen nowadays. though there should be limitations to the amount of time spent towards enjoying life, one should be able to have a healthy work-life balance. thus, we should live with no regrets as we might never know about the future ahead of us.

This is because i will do much more strenuous sports and i do not like slow paced exercises as i find them really boring and i will not be able to focus well doing this exercise.
2.Not so strenuous dance classes. They will be able to mimic the instructors while they are doing the dance, this way they are able to practice their motor skills and are able to get active but not overexert their muscles. They would enjoy this activity as they are in groups and are able to talk with their friends during the classes, this will make the class alot more fun as they are able to catch up with their friends while dancing.
3. I agree with this statement to a certain extent, the elderly should not be bounded by their age boundaries and age is just an number. We should live life to our fullest before we all pass on and thus i feel that we should be able to do whatever we want before we pass away as it is our own life and it is ours to keep.

1. No, the exercises are too slow-paced and might be unsuitable for teenagers my age. I would prefer to engage in higher intensity exercises like jogging or playing a sport.

2. Brisk walking, yoga sessions, biking or using the facilities at the fitness corner. These activities are examples of aerobic exercise which will help the elderly maintain mobility and keep the minds of the elderly sharp. Older people may also enjoy resistance workouts to strengthen their muscles.

3. I agree. Age is purely a number and there were many instances when i saw senior citizens engaging in physical activities at the park. To share a personal experience, my grandmother cycles to the wet market every morning to buy fresh produce and breakfast for the family. She enjoys doing so and rarely complains about waking up early and chooses to cycle as part of her physical activity for the day. Many people are living life to the fullest and are engaging in enriching activities, old or young. Therefore, i fully agree that leading a fulfilling and enjoyable life is not dependant on age.

Old people would prefer to do activites like TaiChi which is the one shown in the video. Old people like stretching and breathing related activities. As these activites can help improve their health. For example, stretching can help them prevent join and muscle aches.
3. I fully agree with this view. Age is just a number and it does not defy what are the challenges we can overcome.

1) Yes, I would definitely try out these exercises as it is very relaxing at the same time I can exercise. Additionally, if my grandparents would also like to exercise too, we can do it together and spend quality time together too. It is another form of exercise that is less intensive as compared to exercises like running and swimming.

2) I think that exercise includes of gardening, calligraphy and brisk walking which are more calming and relaxing. Some elderly have some physical disabilities while others health are deteriorating thus less vigorous activities like these will not put the elderly at risk of possible injuries.

3)I agree with this view this view to a large extent. Many say that age is just a number. Many elderly in Singapore ranging from ages 55 and above are still actively anticipating in activities that are perceived as only suitable for the younger generation. For example my own grandfather at home who is 73 and still takes a jog in the morning and cycles occasionally to keep himself active and fit. From this example it shows that age is really just a number and the way that we carry ourselves every day is up to us whether we have a daily routine or decide to live the wrong way. However, there are some factors like health problems that develop when we age there can prevent us from enjoying what we like doing. Thus, as long as we are willing to, we can do whatever we want regardless of our age.
