I work in strategy and operations, and most of my career has been spent coordinating complex programs, building strong relationships and helping organisations run more effectively. My background spans government-funded initiatives, higher education and large multi-site operational environments.

I’m passionate about stakeholder engagement and bringing people together to solve problems, align priorities and deliver outcomes that genuinely improve how teams work. I enjoy shaping clearer systems, supporting capability development and making sure decisions are informed, practical and collaborative.

I’m excited to be part of this module and to continue strengthening my governance and engagement practice.

I’m a people and culture leader who’s passionate about helping organisations thrive through strong leadership, smart governance, and great decision‑making. In my role as Director of Human Resources and General Services for Oceania, I work closely with our executive team and Board, so I’ve developed a real appreciation for what good governance looks like in practice.

I’m currently completing the Governance Institute of Australia micro credentials to build on that experience, deepening my understanding of governance while sharpening how I support our Board day to day. It’s also part of my longer‑term goal to step into board roles myself, where I can contribute a practical, people‑focused perspective. - Joannah

I chose to study this micro-credential to strengthen my understanding of stakeholder engagement frameworks and approaches to engagement. I am particularly interested in learning how to build stronger partnerships that support strategic decision-making.
