From that incident I found out that Xylazine is a cheap drug that mimics the effects of methamphetamine for a far cheaper price that is growing to become common and accessible to lots more people. While mimicking the effect of meth there is a reason it is cheaper, unlike meth the xylazine drug effects wears off faster then meth. And with users becoming addicted to the effect/high and cheap price tag it causes the drug users to begin to build a tolerance to it the more they take it to get to the hgh. Which means more and more drug in the system as your blood begins to fuse the drug into its blood stream. The drug tends to have violent effects on not only the body but the mind, often making any user of the drug quick to violence, often in a primal sense. Like the previously referred to face eating thing. Instead of the more expensive fentanyl this drug is not the same, xylazine leaves users immediately craving more. However this new drug from 2020 is leaving many not only addicted but rotting, the drug causes injection wounds to begin to form dead skin often leading to amputations, in summer some drug users had literal maggots coming out of the dead skin where wounds had formed.

Not only is xylazine a sedative but an aid to some drug users wishing for a prolonged high, a deadly combination that could cause more drug induced fatalities. Fatalities in 2010 from the drug was 2% but has since quickly climbed to 31% in the span of 5 years. Not only is the drug quickly growing but nothing is being done to test for the drug, so the fatalities are sure to only grow higher.

Most users say they have no idea all though the effects of xylazine are easy to spot, from open wounds down the bone and skin rot, it’s only recently drug users realize the wounds are coming from the newly introduced drug. With xylazine laced into drugs it has enhanced fentanyl often times causing withdraws to begin, which leads higher risk of overdosing while trying to compinstating the withdrawls.

The drug is priced low and is intended as an animal sedative, despite the low price of the drug and how easy it is to get the drug is quick to kill people. Being a sedative and not an opioid Xylazine is far different from other drugs. The drug is far more deadly than the others on the street and is quickly causing overdose rates to spike. The drug has also started to leave drug users with loss of limbs. Doctors still don't know why but xylazine leaves dead skin at injection sites. Sometimes the dead skin rots away exposing muscles and raw bone often resulting in amputation of limbs, if not death. Drug users that have been taking the drug are often found asleep for days, doctors saying the state they left in while asleep is the perfect example of early death, reduced heart rate, low blood pressure, hypothermia and sometimes users slip into a coma. Not only is the sedative Xylazine killing people but also leaving tragically open wounds and has caused drug users to be sent into a coma. This sedative needs to be stopped from reaching the street drugs.
