         <description><![CDATA[<div>People believed it came from poisonous clouds, so people would also burn herbs to purify corrupted air. They also dipped their handkerchiefs in aromatic oils to cover their face from the poisoned air. People of the medieval times thought sound noises would  make the plague go away so they decided to fire canons and ring church bells. Within four years, the plague killed one third of europe's population.
