We will acknowledge the essentiality of language not just form of communication. I individual say so due to critical importance of language as uniquely human gift. Language based on my perspective judgement is inseparable part of our culture. If tend to focus on the importance of other languages rather our own language then we keep on celebrating Africanism we are the lost society.

If we were not colonial capture this type of question should not have assisted in our society.  Because there is no language that is more fundumental than yor own language. Take for practical example in our high institution of learning and teaching the education system is oppressive, exploitative, promote competition and reproduce inquality through the usage of language. And we don't question that or we are not give a platform to question the Supremes because systematically we made to believe that English is the only language for economical privilege and is the only language of popularity requisition. Whish if not true.

Once you master your own language no other language will be difficult to learn. Even besides than language you can't fully understand life without being sure and deep in your own language. The roots of being a proud person is knowing who you are, where you come from but you cannot do those if your mother tongue is robs from you.

Children must learn their mother tongue before twisting to English. Why? Because that enables learners to have some background knowledge about their language and that is what's happening now in schools. If you can visit black schools you'd find that from R to 3 learners are taught in IsiXhosa and also their reports are written in isiXhosa. You can then as a learner learn English later as it's also important to know and is a language of communication nationwide.

Our languages remind us of who we are where we come from even through our government promote English in schools that on its own confuses our generation because our languages goes with our culture. Once we neglect our very own home language that means we don't know who we are and it's said that it's difficult to hard forward without knowing who you are. Most people think a home language it's just a language that is meant to be used only at home but we can use our home languages to show diversity among South Africans.  Home Languages is our roots, we use our home language to communicate with our elders(ancestors) to seek guidance for our paths just imagine speaking English to the ancestors of a Venda Family that won't cause confusion to the ancestors only but to the family elders. 

We know that in schools children communicate in English but we shouldn't let the European language to colonize our roots.  The generation we live in most of the youth turn a blind eye when it comes to their home language because for one to be recognized in the society you have to speak English fluently and not perform your family rituals. Black child never abandon your home language because once you forget about your language that means you have forgotten who you are, and where you come from and harding.
