There's a place for all the abandoned and neglected stray dogs, it's called "the Territorio de Zaguates no-kill dog shelter". It is located in Costa Rica where every single stray can be nice treated and even get their single name. This "land of strays" are open to tourists and the dogs there are ready for adoption. Giannopoulos, a photographer who was concentrating shooting people in UK, is now photographing the strays there. “There are a lot of dogs there that you can fall in love with,” Giannopoulos says, just like the Labrador who has a paralyzed leg and accompany him the whole shooting process

Response:(J)
As a dog lover, I will definitely take a visit to this place if there's a chance for me. These people who organized this place are so admirable and honorable. They are trying so hard maintaining this place and trying to make this place better As the passage described, it is just the haven for the strays. The last sentence really touched me, "This sums up the place for me”. For me personally, I can really feel the love these people have for dogs, and I can see the strong connection between the dogs and the workers there. The whole place is just so sweet , hoping the Territorio de Zaguates no-kill dog shelter has a bright future.

QuestionQuestion1:
The owner of the shelter in Costa Rica loves dogs, and they want to give these dogs a good environment to live. I think the owner might see that looks of dogs are homeless and starve. Therefore, as a people who love the dogs, he found a good place to rescue and raise these dog.

Question2:
If I were the owner of the organization, I would invite the local people who have dogs to visit the Costa Rica. However, I would charge the entrance fee for each visitor. On the one hand, I can provide the good place for pet dog to play with the dogs in the Costa Rica. On the other hand, I can use the entrance fee to improve the living condition for dogs in Costa Rica.

Question3:
I do not think the word “self-proclaimed” in the passage used very well. The word “self-proclaimed” means giving yourself tile without others’ approval and agreement. In the passage Giannopoulos thought himself as a dog lover. However, the reader do not know exactly whether is he a dog lover. In the passage, the author need a professional people’s favorable comment about the Costa Rica in order to emphasis the beauty of the shelter.

Q1. I think the founders of Territorio de Zaguates no-kill dog shelter in Costa Rica just want to protect those dogs. They love animals and prefer to provide them with a warm home. When they see those dogs can have a good life, they really feel happy. Q2. It is very hard to arrange such a big institution. At first, i may write a list of what i need to prepared for those animals such as food, water, and so on. With the increasing number of animals, i may attract some other people who love animals to donate for my institution and take part in us to make it better. Q3. The word self-proclaim in the article means that someone claims himself is a dog lover. Even if he is a dog lover, he never see such a picture which shows that dogs are very happy and enjoy their lives. The author wants to stand out that the shelter really provide a heaven for those animals.
