The two siblings who are both adventurous, Jem and Scout, are prone to exploring the Radley house. Scout two pieces of gum in a tree at the Radley's.

On the last day of school they find two old "Indian head" pennies in the same place they found the gum.

Dill returns to Maycomb.

Chapter 5

Jem and Dill become closer forming a coalition, which causes Scout to feel left out of the friendship. Jem and Dill always want to play "The Radley game" and since Scout doesn't want to, they coercion her into playing it with them. Jem mentioned how the Radley house had some sort of malediction.

Because of this, she started to spend more time with a neighbor, Miss Maudie Atkinson.

Miss Maudie adduces Scout that Boo Radley is indeed still alive, but Scout doesn't really believe her.
