And the first people to ever be on the moon. There were 7 men. Alan Shepard was the the first man to be in outer space by America. NASA started building a new Rocket called Appalo. On the first try they did not succeed and lost 2 lives. Although 2 years later they built a new Appalo. And this time it worked. They wanted to land it on the moon and for that to happen they needed a million things to go right. After landing the ship on the moon I think they wanted to send out another ship so it could connect to Appalo.
