The sale took place in a professional manner and compliments were also good.
In my opinion the customer should have been updated with the various discounts, vouchers or even membership options available with the stores,
So a strong connection would have emerged and the salesperson would have got to retain the customer and gain their goodwill. And the customer will not hesitate to visit the store to make a purchase next time.
