1944- Dr. King begins college

Martin Luther King attends to MorehouseCollege and Crozier Theological Seminary. Micheal(Martin) starts college at the age of 15. He is striving to recieve his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology.

Early in the 1950-Meets his wife and receives second degree.

Dr.King then went to Boston University where he strives for his doctorial degree. Then met his wife(Coretta Scott). As she was a student of New England Conservatory. Martin Luther King jr met his wife coretta in Boston,massachusetts. They were married on June 18, 1953 and in September 1954 settled in Montgomery, Alabama

1954- Martin(Micheal)Luther King Jr get his first job

After Dr.King has completed college and recieved his degree he then went back to the south where he gets his first job as a pastor of the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery, Ala.

1955-Dr. King’s Boycott Speech

Dr. King Jr Boycott Speech took place on December 5, 1955 at the Holt Street Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama, and was given due to the arrest of Rosa Parks on December 1, 1955, when she refused to give up her seat on a bus to a white man.

1957- Dr.King founds the Southern Leadership Conference

Dr Martin Luther King Jr founded the southern Leadership Conference in 1957. Others who helped are Bayard Rustin, Ralph Abernathy, Fred Shuttlesworth and more. They help find the SCLC in order to have a regional organization that could better the civil rights protest activities across the South.

Martin Luther King Jr. and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference were in Birmingham to strike at the heart of racial segregation and discrimination in the South. Dr. King wrote the" Letter from Birmingham Jail" as a response to a public statement of concern and caution which at the time issued by eight white religious leaders of the South.

1965- Dr.king helps African Americans in Selma get voters rights
