          An individual who will succeed in today's  world of higher education is cooperative. Based on the text it States  "conversation with your college counselor about what's important to you in terms of academics"... A cooperative individual would have a conversation with his/ her counselor to understand the campus culture of the college. it also states "attend college fairs, consult our college profiles, and visit campuses. An individual who is cooperative would attend college  fairs, and visit college campuses. Altogether, a cooperative individual will succeed in today's world of higher education, because a cooperative person is collaborative.

A type of individual that will succeed in today's world of higher education is someone who is responsible  He or she would also be reliable. when you are not  responsible you wont be able to be relied on, and you would not be able to be relied on to do anything or do things for others. In the article, it states “your path to college begins your first year in high school as you make yourself college-ready” This shows how you have to be prepared for college on your own. The article, states “ Schools have different requirements regarding numbers of sat subject tests” this shows how much you need to prepare for any outcomes. All this proves how you need to be responsible for college.

A successful person in higher education is proactive  and hardworking in the text it states "Proactive individuals will take advantage of being able to submit their applications before the due date to ensure their acceptance into a college". Successful people in modern life of higher education are proactive and successful because they are smart,  engaging and hardworking but it's not easy because people become lazy but these individuals are confident and they have great scores in school. Successful people in modern higher education are hardworking because, in the text it states "Good performance on AP exams are one indicator for admissions officers of your pointed for achieving in college".  AP exams take a lot of hard working,studying and to pass you must be very proactive and smart AP exams make people successful because it proves how hardworking they are to colleges.  A person that is proactive and hardworking will succeed in higher education.

An individual  who would  succeed  in  today's World  of higher  education  is someone  who  is proactive. According  to the  text, "work experience demonstrates responsibility on your college application".when you work you are showing the college that you can make your own   .Some students will take advantage  of being  able to submit  their application on time .individual will  succeed  because  they  will  push them self and always  be ready to work. "Some students  enroll in university programs  to  start  earning  college  credits'' .when they get  more  college credits  you get more of a higher  education in the text more activities  can  make  your  college  application rise. There for this  is how an individual  in today's world will  succeed  by being  proactive.

           

An individual that would succeed in the world of higher education, is one with great commitment, because with a lot of commitment, colleges can see you more in depth as a student. According to an article: "College Admissions Guide" it states: "Commitment to a sport, hobby, religious organization, or job for over 4 years of high school is the key. Colleges would much rather see you excited about a few worthwhile endeavors than marginally involved with a lot of clubs". This quote justifies the thesis, because it basically means that engaging in school activities shows who you are as a student, by showcasing your interests based on what you engage on, and since this requires commitment, this proves how important of a trait it is to have. Another reason why commitment is an important trait to have, is because you can use your commitment to demonstrate your independence and maturity as a student. For example, another quote from the article claims: "Some students enroll in university programs to start earning college credits. Others volunteer or find a summer job. Whatever you do, your summer activities can make your college application rise to the top of a competitive applicant pool". In summation, participating in an extracurricular and programs during the summer give a boost in your application. This also validates the thesis made, since participating in summer activities is one of the many things that yet again require a lot of commitment to do and this can demonstrate your independence by showing what you're able to do on your own, therefore also demonstrating your maturity as a young adult. Overall, this concludes why commitment is an essential trait for an individual to have to achieve success in the world of higher education.
