Dublin experiences a maritime climate with mild-warm summers, cool winters, and lacks temperature extremes due to its location in northwestern Europe. The weather is cool and humid throughout the year, with rainfall being a constant feature. In general, temperatures in winter range between 3-8 ºC, while summer temperatures vary from 16-20 ºC. High winds can occur occasionally, particularly during the autumn and winter months. The best time to visit Dublin is during the summer months when the weather is mild and pleasant.

Dublin has various options for transportation, including buses, trains, trams, taxis, bicycles, and car rentals. The public transportation system in Dublin is well-developed and offers extensive coverage throughout the city and beyond. Dublin Bus is the primary provider of bus services in the city and operates an extensive network of routes. The Luas is a tram system that serves the city center and the suburbs. Trains connect Dublin with other parts of Ireland, and you can use the Irish Rail or DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transit) for this purpose. Taxis are also readily available and can be hailed on the street or ordered through an app. Additionally, bicycles are a popular mode of transportation in Dublin, and there are various rental services throughout the city. Car rentals are also available, but traffic and parking can be challenging, particularly in the city center.
