That surrounding yourself with the right people and that people are a mixture of both good and bad just like in real life. The books also teach how even our smallest decisions can have huge consequences.

One of the books I’ve rated 5 star this year. This book talks about the crisis happening in Afghanistan and the refugees who are forced to leave the country.

It taught me lessons about  diversity of religion, beliefs, cultures and the different social problems regarding racism and discrimination. This book opened my eyes from the happenings of a real-life terrorism to the different stages of a human’s life.

Eleceed is a manhwa that most people find interesting which they couldn't get from other ones. Its story is excellent, the characters are pretty amazing, and mainly the artwork is godly.

Kayden is a secret agent on the run, who finds himself stuck in the body of a decidedly fat old fluffy cat.

This book helps in the organization of my complex thoughts since it gives me with comfort, answers, and is eye-opening to others, especially in our lives. This book provides as a guide to what important in life since it allows us to see different perspectives and points of view from people we would never have considered before. It's straight to the point, painfully frank, and hilarious all at the same time. A sequence of lessons and revelations about who we are and what we really want. Many of the answers to our never-ending questions about our doubts and what-ifs can only be discovered in this book. Above all, this book has taught me a lot of valuable things that I can use in the future.

In the boarding school where he was sent to be disciplined, his self confidence was shattered. He suffered trauma due to separation from his family. His passion for drawing and painting was totally gone.

Ishaan became so aloof, cold and indifferent from his classmates. This showed that the concept of “ trust “during his developmental years based on Erik Erikson’s of Psycho-social theory, was not attained and established because of  rejection of  people around him.

Until Ram Shankar Nikumbh, a substitute art teacher came to school and able to recognize his special needs. Ishaan’s other teachers thought that he has to be dealt in special education program not to be placed in the mainstream. But, Ram insisted that even special child has the right to formal and quality education as what the “ EFA”- Education for All Policy  holds. Ram believes that every child has his own capabilities, desires and pace of learning.

Ram helped Ishaan how to manage deficiencies brought about by being dyslexic. Ram was able to unveil the potentials of Ishaan by employing educational psychology. Appropriate intervention measures like constant practice, drills and problem solving were given to Ishaan. This confirms the theory of operant conditioning by Frederick Skinner. A person can be trained by presenting a reward or punishment as a consequence of his actions. Ishaan was stimulated and conditioned to learn because of the immaterial reward of being accepted, cared, valued and loved by his teacher, Ram. This specific scene in the movie had causedme to cry in the nth times and realize the goodness of one’s heart.

Ram understood Ishaan’s mental capacities and innate behavior because he went through the same experience and struggles being dyslexic during his childhood days.

There should be social consciousness on individual differences. Even Ishaan’s parents, teachers and the community were not aware of this particular kind of disorder. The society plays a vital role in child’s development. Thus, it has to be sensitive and responsive especially for those who have special needs. Criticisms and prejudices should be discouraged for the child to overcome his difficulties.

As a teacher, I realize that substantial knowledge about Psychology is indispensable tool in the field of teaching profession. Every learner has its own pace of learning with different weaknesses. So, the teacher has to be creative in employing teaching strategies to be able to cater the needs of every learner.

The movie is indeed very good, appropriate and reflective as I journey more years of being a student.

     Jane Eyre, the main character of the story, grew up in a loveless environment and her childhood was portrayed almost like a ‘Cinderella’ story. But the difference was that she was fearless, outspoken and bold even in her childhood. At the age of 10, when she gets to know that she is being sent to a charity institution by her cruel aunt. She speaks out against her to-be-husband as well when she discovers he has a wife. When Jane gets to know that her uncle has left a fortune for her, she insists on sharing it with her cousins who had helped her later in life through thick and thin. Jane’s childhood and adolescence was miserable but she does bounce back and doesn’t fall prey to life’s adversities.

Always hope for the best: 
Having had a traumatic life as a child, Jane never lost hope. When she was sent to the charity institution by her aunt, Jane hoped that no matter what, at least the place will be better than her aunt’s place. When Jane came to Lowood Institution, the inedible food and harsh conditions did not frighten her. Instead, she strived to have a better future and studied well. Jane’s faith helped her through thick and thin and eventually good things did happen to her.

Being educated is being self-reliable: 
   Jane is deprived of all the things in life which are normal for us to have. She has no family or money, not even a person whom she could call a friend after her sole friend at the Lowood Institution died in her arms when they were. Though conditions at charity institution were inhumane, Jane focused on her studies and came out as an educated woman. Out of all odds, Jane manages to get a job as a governess at Thornfield Hall and lives with dignity. On reaching another destination, though with some help from her relatives, Jane again arranges for a job as a teacher.

The novel explores an alternative religious history, whose central plot point is that the Merovingian kings of France were descended from the bloodline of Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene, ideas derived from Clive Prince's The Templar Revelation (1997) and books by Margaret Starbird. The book also refers to The Holy Blood and The Holy Grail (1982) though Dan Brown has stated that it was not used as research material.

The Da Vinci Code provoked a popular interest in speculation concerning the Holy Grail legend and Mary Magdalene's role in the history of christianity. The book has, however, been extensively denounced by many Christian Denominations  as an attack on the Catholic Church, and consistently criticized for its historical and scientific inaccuracies. The novel nonetheless became a massive worldwide bestseller.

This is the manga that I first recommend to someone who is starting to read manga. This was also the manga that made me interested in reading manga in the first place. The cute moments balanced with the action really makes me want to read more as it slowly publishes every 2 weeks.
