Being a parent to him has helped me personally and professionally. I am more aware of the struggles of students with special needs. Teaching and parenting isn't a one size fits all. We quickly became friends and within a couple of years started a pet sitting business. This encouraged me to participate in dogs sports and the pet community here in NWA. During Covid we decided to close the business. I will always remember my foray into owning a business. Surrounding yourself with people who lift you up can make all the difference in the world. With him I have learned how to be a better partner, a better mom and a better person in general. We have been together nearly 7 years and will be married in September of 2023.
