I've also taught Kindergarten for 2 years.  I graduated from Texas State University with a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies and an ESL certification. My husband is a teacher and a swim coach. He teaches High School Art in a neighboring district.  I have a 4-year-old daughter named Abigail who is in preschool and a infant son name Asher. Check the binder and initial each night. Please take out papers in the pockets.
If there is a change in pickup, you may write it in the MOOSE or contact me or the office before 2:00. 
Your child will bring home a communication each day in the front pocket of the binder. Please initial and return in the pocket each day. 
Read every night from your book bag and return twice a week. Take a picture walk before reading and  use the strategies from your bookmark for unknown words.  Don't forget to retell to build comprehension. Snuggle up with a great picture book and read to your child to share a love for reading a love for reading! 
Practice sight words regularly to help develop fluency. Give your child opportunities to write to practice letters, sounds, and putting his own ideas on paper. This is a great way to make connections between letter knowledge and sounds.
