Newman and Salini Gopal Krishanan piqued my interest due to its insightful examination of the complex relationship between technology and the changing nature of labor. This article is a light of insight in the modern world where technology advancement is the driving force behind work processes. It provides a comprehensive overview of the impending AI revolution and its transformational impact.
My interest was piqued by Newman and Gopal Krishanan's subtle approach, which deftly weaves together the historical background of technological advancements and draws comparisons between the industrial revolution's seismic shifts and the invention of the wheel. This thorough historical perspective offers a solid basis for comprehending the state of technology today and creates the ideal environment for thinking about the significant transformations artificial intelligence (AI) promises.

I was interested in the article's central thesis, which discussed the disruptions that artificial intelligence will bring about. The writers present a striking image of a near future in which professional survival depends on adaptation more than just personal preference. Their plea for reskilling initiatives is made all the more urgent by the threat of job displacement, which forces readers to consider the ramifications of such drastic changes.

I also connected with the article's emphasis on organizational readiness. The authors emphasize the need of having a strategic vision when it comes to automation and robotics, and they urge proactive steps like reskilling initiatives and strong employee support systems. This tactical approach fits with my curiosity about how businesses might wisely and strategically handle the difficulties presented by technology integration.

This article discusses about historical perspectives of AI . It argues that robots ,AI has potential to steal jobs of employees. A study predicts 47% occupations will be affected by automation and it creates a fear . This article has a balanced view about disruptive potential about AI and Automation . The article is based on research approach by taking interviews with technology professionals and data analysis .This scholarly approach enhances it importants . Although all these discussions it has some laggings for example it lagged to discuss about the ethical dimensions of automation , technical aspects of automation . Moreover ,It have not illustrated how AI or Automation will affect different countries and cultures . This article also have not search for the possibility of how automation could be used in the social and economic and cultural development .

finally it is a peer reviewed journal written by award winning professors with years of corporate experience which helped me to pick it at the frist glance .

The notion of automation, its historical evolution, its benefits and drawbacks, and its implications for the nature of labor and employment in the future are all thoroughly covered in this article.
"The use of machines, control systems, and information technologies to optimize productivity in the production of goods and delivery of services" is how the article describes automation. 1. From the first industrial revolution to the present day of robots and artificial intelligence, it charts the development of automation. It also covers the drawbacks of automation, including joblessness, inequality, skill mismatch, and social unrest, as well as the advantages of automation, including improved productivity, quality, safety, and profitability.

The impact of automation on the labor market—both in terms of the amount and quality of jobs—is also covered in this article. It contends that automation affects employment in two ways: either it increases demand for goods and services, which leads to the creation of new jobs, or it destroys existing jobs by replacing human labor with machine labor. Additionally, it implies that automation may alter the character of work by necessitating that employees learn new abilities, adjust to new responsibilities, and deal with novel organizational and managerial structures.

In order to minimize automation's negative effects and maximize its good potential, the article's conclusion emphasizes the necessity of legislative interventions. It suggests that in order to create and execute policies for labor legislation, social protection, education, and training that can facilitate a seamless and inclusive shift to an automated society, governments, businesses, and employees should work together.

The article explored the impact of automation on the labor market . It took a look on how automation increased productivity while it rises concern about social inequalities . The article provides evidence based on research . It consider both economics benefits and potential social risk .

Although it discuses all that points I think it legged to describe some points . It could delve deeper into some factors like health care ,education and the challenges . It could have investigate more in other parts of the world and explore the role of education and skill development for the world of future automation .

The flexible operation of automation, like changing its position or/and type during system operations, has been shown to enhance human- automation system performance. Rather than remaining fixed, This brief primer explains flexible automation, when the robotic support's position shifts depending on the work carried out by the system. Two types separate the locus of authority to change automation position adaptable automation ( the human driver assigns how automation is applied) has been set up to prop human's situation mindfulness and give further perceived control versus adaptive automation( the system assigns automation position) that may put lower workload and attentional demands by automatically conforming situations in response to changes in one or further countries of the mortal, terrain, task and so on. Paradoxically to vast investments in adaptive automation approaches, limited exploration has been devoted to adaptable automation. trials directly comparing adaptable and adaptive automation are particularly spare. In conclusion, methodical exploration examining adaptable automation is overdue, including cold-blooded approaches with adaptive automation. Specific recommendations for farther exploration are handed.

Automating certain processes is crucial for administering pivotal safety features, analogous as assuming control of high- speed vehicles during critical situations. stationary automation proves effective for safety measures that automatically spark, much like life- saving protocols. still, disquisition indicates that fixed automation may dwindle alert and workload. On the other hand, adaptive automation systems suitable of conforming automation situations during operation enhance system performance and tackle evolving challenges. versatile automation encompasses various control protocols, each impacting workload, stress situations, and engagement scripts. These protocols range from decision- making centered around humans to fully automated conduct.

Lower Situations of automation can elevate human workload and stress by enhancing interaction and decision- making scores. Again, advanced automation situations may dwindle human engagement and situational mindfulness, risking performance decline and skill deterioration. Although automation offers safety measures and boosts system performance, scrupulous assessment of its position and perpetration is vital to annul implicit failings and guarantee fruitful mortal- automation collaboration.

The future of construction automation: Technological disruption and the upcoming ubiquity of robotics. Automation in construction, 59, pp.113-121.

Available at: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S092658051500165X

ARTICLE REVIEW :

This article describes the future of construction automation, including the predicted technological changes and the increasing presence of robots. The article reviews trends of the past and today, describes opportunities for future construction automation, and presents numerous technical terms, including robot-oriented design, robotic industrialization, construction robots, site automation, and ambient robotics. The article also discusses the integration of mechatronics and robotic technologies in living environments and the advancement of health monitoring and guidance thus far with the development of assistive robotic systems. The article concludes by describing a few of the ways robot technology will become more prevalent and potentially change various fields.

The construction industry plays an undeniable role in the world’s economic growth and productivity, with a full 50 percent of a nation’s total investment allocated to infrastructures and facilities. Yet this crucial industry has continually seen declining productivity over the last several decades, due to, among others, low capital investment and capital intensity. Poor working conditions, low interest from the younger generation, and high consumption of raw materials and energy are the primary contemporary challenges confronting the conventional construction and architecture professions.

The construction sector is slow to innovate, since products are intricate, have long lives, are made in a range of sizes from a diversity of materials and are 'fixed-site'. A de-facto constraint is that the industry is tied to its present mode, with low R&D spend and strong resistance to new methods and technologies.

Past technological development supports the hypothesis that every conventional building has generated its own set of technologies and in the beginning these new technologies were in many cases economically, organizationally and technically inferior to those they had to displace. Analysis of present and emerging trends offers an insight into technological obsolescence and its consequences: Additional computer technologies, the STCR approach, service robot systems, and other microsystems technologies are being merged into, as well as essential for the built environment—becoming part of the building and serving as buildings, building components and furniture.

Robot-oriented design and management aims to provide fundamentally for the efficient exploitation of advanced construction and building technology. It conceives that high hopes are possible for the co-adaptation of construction products, processes, organization and management and the advanced or robotic technology, so that the latter becomes more generally applicable, and simpler and/or more efficient to use.

Overall, the composition emphasizes the need for invention and investment to realize the full eventuality of robotization in shaping the future of construction.

Improving the driver–automation interaction: An approach using automation uncertainty. Human factors, 55(6), pp.1130-1141.

Available at: https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/0018720813482327

ARTICLE REVIEW :

This study underlines the importance of situation awareness in driver-automation interactions, the influence of participants' awareness on their responses during critical situations, and the importance of communicating uncertainty to the operator. It has also demonstrated the potential for a cooperation-based approach in improving driver-automation interaction. While we chose to focus on a single symbol for communicating uncertainty, investigating the integration of other crew-centred concepts in driving would likely pay additional dividends [11]. Beyond our research, our work has implications for any automated system in which the dynamics of unreliability influence how the operator should respond in a particular scenario. In such systems, it may be beneficial to augment the display with information related to system reliability. Regardless of the specific direction future work takes, we hope that our experiments will be used as the foundation for future designs of driver-automation interaction.

Input displays for imperfect diagnostic automation have potential for conveying uncertainty information. Informing participants of an aid's reliability (i.e., the proportion of correct aid decisions) in a binary decision-making task improved performance with a simple laboratory task, and the effect was subsequently replicated with a more dynamic, realistic task; participants in these studies used an aid to distinguish between 2 diagnostic states (Dwivedi et al., 2015). The present research differs from previous research in 2 key ways: uncertainty information was evaluated in the dynamic context of driving in the present research, and the uncertainty information itself was a relatively simple symbol. A schematic uncertain face was developed for the symbol for uncertainty and was intended to convey humanoid uncertainty, “i.e., unhappy,” when the automation was uncertain, ostensibly when system limits were exceeded.

In sum, the present investigation emphasizes the import of communicating automation uncertainty to enhance driver-automation interaction, curb potential misuse, and handle catastrophic failure. Support for the research hypotheses is observed in the salience of reliability information, increased situation awareness, acknowledgement of system fallibility, and higher trust in the automation when uncertainty was communicated with a simple symbol. An important contribution of this work, therefore, is the evaluation of uncertainty information in the dynamic context of driving and the use of a simple symbol for humanoid uncertainty. Going forward, communicating pleasant uncertainty should be tested in the automated driving context as well other related mechanisms of cooperation to improve human-automation trust, cooperation and safety in real world application.

The authors explore the idea of the "AI identity threat," highlighting how employees' sense of self and competence may be challenged by the introduction of AI technology, resulting in feelings of disquietude and alienation. The authors offer important insights into the emotional and cognitive reactions that influence attitudes towards technology improvements in the workplace by focusing on the individual experiences of people with AI.

The paper also does a thorough examination of the organisational elements affecting the perception of AI identity danger. The authors look at how leadership philosophies, organisational cultures, and communication tactics affect workers' worries about how AI may change their identities and jobs. By using this viewpoint, Mirbabaie et al. contribute to the debate on organisational dynamics in response to technology change by expanding our knowledge of how management decisions and institutional frameworks influence employees' experiences with AI adoption.

The essay also presents the idea of AI identity danger as a distinct kind of psychological resistance to technological advancement. Concerns have been raised, though, about how AI might affect workers, clients, and legal compliance. The purpose of this guide is to clarify how AI technology can be safely and effectively used for automation, as well as how to use generative artificial intelligence and computational models of language to transform business processes.

Despite their differences, automation and artificial intelligence (AI) can work together to create cognitive automation, in which machine learning is used by artificial intelligence for adapting to and learn from tasks, enhancing computerization skills. AI-driven chatbots, for example, simplify the handling of consumer queries, cutting down on wait times and freeing up staff members to concentrate on more complicated cases.

Additionally, to improve technology precision and effectiveness, smart document preparation uses machine learning to gather and analyze information from records. Gen AI improves automation lifespan, enabling higher-level cases of automation from discovery to continuous administration.

Automation with artificial intelligence assists businesses in a number of ways.
Team productivity: By analyzing enormous volumes of data and offering insightful analysis, AI-assisted automation boosts efficiency.

Ø Customer experience: Congruent and dependable results from computerized processes increase client satisfaction.

Ø Integration and flexibility: Generative AI makes scalable processes possible through customized content creation and conversational automation demands.

Ø Cost savings: Technology maximizes the use of available resources, cutting down on the expenses related to mistakes and labor-intensive tasks.

Ø Digital improvement: Gen AI fosters creativity and flexibility by enabling non-tech builders to design automated processes.

Resources offered by the cloud and fundamental algorithms like GPT-3 are included in AI computer programs for quick implementation. An accountable implementation of solutions fueled by artificial intelligence must take into account factors like AI administration, human supervision, ongoing surveillance, authentication, and the reliability of the models.
In conclusion, generative AI and AI machine learning offer businesses enormous potential to boost productivity, elevate customer interactions, and spur technological change. Firms are able to use artificial intelligence to discover novel automation opportunities by putting first accountable execution and leadership.
