It is especially important for piano players to develop good posture, such as not tightening the muscles of the shoulders and arms during practice, especially when playing fast running pieces. When I practice for a long time, I often focus on the musical aspects, such as whether the rhythm and notes are correct, but forget the correct playing posture, which causes my muscles to ache and affect the quality of the practice. After reading this book, I learned the following techniques to maintain good posture while practicing:
1.Keeping the shoulders relaxed and the elbows close to the body allows us to focus on the palms in our daily exercises and helps with power delivery.
2.Keeping the wrists straight, flush with forearms, and avoid slouching or leaning forward. This not only makes the player appear to be in good shape, but also reduces the damage to the wrist joints caused by incorrect posture.
3.Stretch arms, shoulders, neck and back at the end of a long exercise. I prefer to stretch every two hours or so to not only relax my muscles but also my mind.

1. In my final performance, there were some pieces that required quick running the fingers. Using proper posture can reduce the burden of finger movement and help us to play faster with less effort.

2.Proper posture can also help us reduce the damage to the body, If the player's muscles are in tension for a long time, it is easy to suffer from scapulohumeral periarthritis, tenosynovitis and other diseases, especially in the process of practice posture is not correct.
3.Remind myself to relax my shoulders and maintain good postures during daily practice, I can improve my performance and reduce the risk of pain and injury, also improve my practice efficiency.
To sum up, keeping a good self-statement while practicing the piano, taking frequent breaks and stretching are essential to prevent injury and keep the body healthy. By incorporating these techniques into my daily practice they will be very helpful for my final performance and future career.

When we consider music as a profession or career, we worry about grades and earnings. But in order to make good music, it is important that the player enjoy the music. Whenever I have to prepare for the piano exam, even though I practice more time than usual, there are always some mistakes that would not appear normally. This will cause me not to be able to adequately express my music during the exam. So it's important to have a good mindset when playing music. As Kenny Werner said, when we approach music with lightness and ease, we will find more joy and renewed inspiration in music. Here are some ways I can practice the piano in a relaxed mood before the exam：
1. Warm up with relaxation techniques: Take a few minutes to calm your mind and body before you start practicing. Try deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, or visualization techniques to help you feel more relaxed and focused.
2. Focus on the process, not just the outcome: Instead of dwelling on the test or how you did, focus on enjoying the process of playing the piano. Focus on the music itself and try to connect with the emotions and feelings of the work.
3. Practice mindfulness: Practice being present in the moment and focusing entirely on the task at hand. This can help you feel more relaxed and less anxious about the upcoming test.

The purpose of music performance is to show vividly the emotional content contained in music through performance, so that the audience can directly feel the emotion expressed by music and have a dialogue with it. The key to learning piano performance lies in whether I, as a performer, can transform the emotion in music into a form that can be understood and felt by the audience through performance, so as to achieve the purpose of direct communication with the audience. When playing the piano, I need to show vividly the emotions expressed by the music through skills and expression, so as to establish an emotional resonance and communication with the audience. There are some ways I can apply expressive performance to my practice and performance.
1. Develop my technical skills: It's important to have a strong technical base so that I can play music easily and fluidly. This allows me to focus on the emotional aspects of the music and communicate them more effectively.
2. Understanding the emotion in the music: Before I start playing a piece, take a moment to understand the emotion the composer is trying to convey. This will help me connect with the music on a deeper level and convey emotion to the audience.
3. Pay attention to rhythm and musicality: Rhythm and musicality are key to expressing musical emotion. Pay attention to the shape of the melody and use dynamics and pronunciation to create contrast and highlight important moments in the music.
4.Connect with audience: In order to build emotional resonance and communication with audience, it's important to connect with them on a personal level. Make eye contact, smile, and interact with the audience before and after the performance.
