i agree with making it reminiscent of the styles of local story books!! i think it would also be good to include earth-y tones and fluid illustrations (given the girls' powers + the nature-related monster), while still making sure that the vibrant tone is still there

fluid/abstract art style in the background (that reflect their abilities & assigned color) when they are being introduced. similar to superhero/superpower transformations in cartoons.
