First Post: Why are you taking this class?

My reason for enrolling into this class was honestly because I need it for my academic requirements . Now looking more deep into sociology and the research I have done on it I find it very intresting to know about our society and social behaviors. How my professor mentioned in class we will learn about concepts in society. I am majoring in architecture and with that , how society is always changing , ideas in architecture are also always changing. The ideas tie together in a way to where it is always changing. I will be able to identify and know the concepts of the people around me, Helping me to be able to work with them. I am interested to learning about why people are the same and why they are different based off of their social norms. I had never noticed what you mentioned about not being able to just stand and do nothing. In the beginning of our first class I did feel the awkwardness and I wanted to laugh because of that uncomfortable situation. Outside of this class I think I would have never even thought of that. That's is one of the reasons I am now excited to learn about our society and learn why it is we have certain social norms.
