For students looking to deepen their learning outside of the classroom, they offer a free Climate Advocacy Certificate Program each semester. This provides valuable transferable skills in advocacy, climate science, and communication over the course of a 15-week remote course. Students interested in enrolling in this summer's program should sign up by September 11th, 2023. It will be offered again in the spring, and the registration link will be updated shortly on the above webpage to reflect the spring 2024 session.

The RA will work with Dr. Pearsall, researchers from the US Forest Service, and our partners at the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, to produce an 8-minute video about the challenges and successes of tree-planting initiatives in neighborhoods around Philadelphia.

Required skills:
  • passionate about urban sustainability
  • experience producing professional quality videos, including recording, editing, and finalizing all content
  • strong verbal communication skills
  • experience working in teams
The position will be approximately 5-10 hours/week, $18/hr. for the Fall 2023 semester.
