The Great Debater’s professor was an ambitious educator who had the ability to recognize the power of knowledge.  He did persuasion on his students to take responsibility for their future. He demonstrated pathos with the ability to appeal to their emotions. Ethos because He knew the type of students and their ability to be challenged beyond the comfort level.
