         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. The ownership the boy feels due to his experiences, the classmates only see the outside. For the boy the horse offers an escape on Sunday, an adventure.<br>2. Maybe signifying a Math class, but also the experience of being divided due to their views. The glass window between the kids that isn't there but exists because of the distance/difference. The divide because of how they view the uncle and the horse.<br>3. Difficulties in expressing in a safe space, the strict rules and regulations we build in our communities (connections to Grace), a patriarchal, ageist world that only makes us see in a particular manner and direction. The boy would feel distanced. He is also then not able to offer a window to his peers into an experience from which thy can see the world differently.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. the boy seemed connected with the uncle and recognized him. had a sense of belongingness, recognition and relatability but the others burst out laughing looking at his physical features and the junk that he was carrying.&nbsp;<br><br>2. "one afternoon of silent division"- self reflective mode- emotionally disassociated with the uncle, when he saw others laughing at him. the class division. although the social division was evident, the realization came about in open when this incident occurred.&nbsp;<br><br>3. impact: short term: getting away from the embarrassed situation and moving out of the awkward situation. He would be a part of the crowd/the group and not showcase his sense of identity by voicing his opinion in the fear of getting judged by his peers.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Long term: losing a sense of identity, holding back your emotions in front of others, not standing up for what is right, not showing confidence- having second thoughts- inhibitions in front of the community- knowing that it is wrong.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

Boy sees hay, metal, junk and others sees hunched back old man.... boy also is in awe of his 'Great uncle' but is not comfortable to share his experience as his lifestyle may be different. Distinction in the appearance of the horses.... We often by the appearance of the person and don't acknowledge the power or background. For other he may be just an old man but for him he was probably inspired and influenced by his experiences... Boy torn between his own emotions and connections and the view of others (The outside world)<br><br>2. disparity of thought and perspective; when you are fickle minded, Division between my mother's old uncle or my uncle... spring when the morning silently fading to afternoon.<br><br>3.          <description><![CDATA[<div>&nbsp;Prompt 1 -The boy has a very personal connect to the picture as he recalls and experiences it all from his all 5 senses. It takes him to the memory lane. But when others look at it, they look in terms of more from a physical structure such as, an old man, and battered old wagon. &nbsp;<br>Prompt 2 - The children are sitting in the class where there is absolute silence and suddenly the children can hear the unusual noise of the wagon.<br>Prompt 3 -<br>Short term-<br>Protecting oneself from a situation where others can judge him, he doesn't feel safe enough to tell how pleasant memories he has.<br>Long term- He feels he might get mocked or looked down upon in times to come if he would have shared his experience or talked about that he knows the man. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Prompt 1- They were all looking at the same old man and wagon, but for the boy he was looking at his beloved Uncle and fond memories, however for the rest of the class it was just clanking junk and obsolete wagon.&nbsp;<br>Prompt 2- The one afternoon of silent division is used as a metaphor. There was a&nbsp; silent divide that occurred between the boy's and the class.<br>Prompt 3- short term impact would be that the child's perspective, feelings, and relationship would change.<br>Long term- transformation in the way the child sees the world around him. He would think twice before sharing any feelings or views. </div>]]></description>
