Canada has a balanced population due to its moderate birth rates which are influenced by lifestyle choices, and an aging population due to the effects of the baby boom and increase in life expectancy.

Whereas Ghana has a younger population due to higher birth rates, leading to a higher dependency load. Additionally, due to limited healthcare Ghana has a shorter life expectancy.

Contrary to Ghana, Italy has an older population with very low birth rates, creating a high dependency load and challenges with an aging population as a result of the country’s long life expectancy, which has developed because of its advanced healthcare, nutrition and living standards.

It is important to look at this information, and to understand the differences in life expectancies and birth rates because it helps countries plan for both the short-term needs of their people, like healthcare, education, and jobs, and the long-term challenges, like an aging population or fewer people in the workforce. For example, countries with low birth rates may need to care for an aging population, while countries with high birth rates need to focus on education and jobs for younger people. This information helps governments make better decisions, so that countries can thrive both now and in the future.
