2) The article presented is very statistical, as it shows studies from many other doctors that proves there are psychological issues in teens causing sleeping problems. Some of the different studies within the article go over what habits might create these such as, watching tv, social issues, and popularity in school. In many of the studies it is shown that causes of sleep issues are psychological rather than physical. One of the articles in particular stated that children whose parents monitor them are more likely to get better sleep.

This article demonstrates the hunger issues that are specific to Uganda. It explains the differences between those that are struggling in urban areas and those in rural areas. It says those in rural parts are better off because they can grow their own food. Uganda is plagued with economic problems, making it very difficult for many to even afford to eat. Uganda and other African countries had a huge problem solving the increased oil price which limited the trade in the country. It also made a number of food imports decrease which did not help at all. Uganda started to use acacia and cactus which grew native in their country as a good source. These plants are plentiful and helped many people get food.

The short falls in water for irrigation comes off the lack of rivers and reservoirs. In the long run, these off-farm surface water sources are declining in abundance. Most of the water supply was demanded for elecrtricty production. Most rivers, streams, and lakes are endangered which is causing major issues. The farmers responded to this throughout California by reducing crops being grown. The most important factors of scarce water are economic policy and environmental changes within California. Through statistics, water demand has been seen declining. This effects not only the human population through lack of agriculture, but also for the Federal and state reservoir.

This article was posted November 2015, so it is relevant. This information has not been revised. Some of the information contained statistics based on different factors that water scarcity has evolved with. This article relates to my topic because it gives a response to why these droughts have been caused and what it affects directly. The author is Steven Wallander, Marcel Ailery, and Glen Schaible. The authors have been educated due to the field of agriculture and economics. This article ended with “edu” -

In “Traffic Jam” the author evaluated different plans to reduce traffic. He found that megaprojects produce less results than those that are on a smaller scale. For example, the mere addition of bicycle lanes on high-occupancy transit routes doubled the amount of people that commuted to work by bicycle. However, when another city spent over $1.3 million to build a new urban rail system, the carpooling and public transportation rates declined by five percent, producing the opposite of the desired effect.

The pollution caused by mankind is not only affecting the human race, but all the other organisms on the planet. In this article, information about how animals are harmed by the pollution is provided with the use of multiple examples from the author’s personal experience. She saw birds being harmed by fishing rope that was not disposed of properly, turtles grow deformed after growing around a ring around their waist, and ducks die due to oil spills. She also provides ways on how people could improve the environment for the animals, by providing food for the animals or calling the right authorities when an animal is in need.

Overall this source would not be the best choice due to the fact that it lacks details and is not written at an advanced level. The source also does not provide, in depth, solutions to the pollution problem. However, there are very good examples that could be used to show how animals are affected by pollution.

This article presents examples and opinions from college students that have mobility challenges. It describes how the grants they received were used. One grant was used to put in automatic handicap door openers around campus. The funds also supported the replacement worn elevator doors. One student, Frank Cornely a senior communications major, described how he could not get into a building to get his ID card by himself. He had to get his parents to go into the office for him. He actually worked in the office, and he has connections to the people who give the grants to the university. This is a ok source, and small pieces of it could be used for the purpose of understanding improvements on a college campus for those who are disabled

Summary: This source provides information on the general use of technology in the classroom. It also provides statistics on the amount of money spent and the technology available. Another important piece of information is the accessibility to internet within a school system. Some people take online classes, but others cannot because of low access to Internet, wifi, and the proper supplies. This lack of access causes many students to be unable to use technology at all in the classroom. While some schools are given access to devices, others are left out which creates a divide in the school system.

Evaluation: This article gives us great examples and statistics about technology within the physical classroom and online classrooms.

Sea World claims to love sea life and sea life preservation. They are also a very fake company who does everything only for profit. They buy animals from sketchy people and even if the animal has a dark past they will still buy it and cover up the past. They obtained an orca who had a troubling past and showed him off to the public. This careless thinking lead to the killing of one of the trainers at Sea World. Confining whales to small spaces and keeping them there only worsens the condition of the whales.
