Owning a car is necessary for several reasons. For example, a person with a car doesn't have to depend on bus or train timelines. Depending on these timelines means that you have to leave the house early when you are going to work. If you use ferry which you can use every 30 minutes, you may get up 30 minutes earlier than usual. Another problem is that if you are hanging out with your friends outside at a late time, you may leave the hangout early because of the latest train time. Having a car would let you go home anytime you want in this case. One more issue is that sometimes the public transport can be late for several minutes. In that case, you may be late to school or work too and you won't have another option other than waiting for the transport. In conclusion, owning a car gives you freedom and flexibility about times.

One can travel more comfortably. They can give a break from driving as much as they want. People may have special needs to give breaks on rides but if they don't have a car they can't do it whenever they want. People can eat what they want in their personal vehicles. Everyone may not allow to eat or drink something in their cars, so owning a car is important for this matter too. One can listen whatever podcast, music or program they want without headphones. People listen the same radio or program in someone's car even they don't want to listen it. For public transportation, people wear headphones and it's not very comfortable.

If you are on a bus, you have to listen your music with a headphone but you can open a song loudly if you want. Noone wants to hear a baby crying and you can avoid this if you have your own car. Most importantly, a baby's loud voice can ruin your day intolerably if you are having a bad one already.
