However, leaders seem to not care about the issues since, "Political will in Washington to raise minimum wage has been stalled, and labor enforcement, at both the federal and state levels, has been ineffectual." The evidence for this is on pg 74. The text says 'Being a more conscientious consumer will pay off in unexpected ways.' This shows that customers have a better say in dining and working conditions than the workers themselves. The people behind the workers who worry about customers eating their would worry more for the customers opinion rather than the worker who works overtime just to make ends meet.
