Overarm throw: In the overarm throw, I was able to improve my footwork which led to better shots and more effective finishing. You can see the improvement because my feet were locked up, which didn't allow me to create momentum. Watching the pros helped me understand the issues in my movement.
Underarm throw: Through the unit, I worked on the release of my underarm throw. This was where I had to improve the most. The reason was that I was releasing too early without spin. I worked on this by reflecting on my throws and adjusting the spin on the throw.
Chest pass: The chest pass is where I had the least improvement out of the skills. However, there was a minute difference in my hand position. My groupmate pointed out that my hands should be flatter on the ball for a better pass, and that improved the skill.
Jump and shoot: This skill required more energy. My jump and shot needed to be faster, and after I saw some pros do it mixed with my peer feedback (verbal), I realized I had to do it. After I did this, it changed and I improved a lot.
Positioning: This skill was improved through my ideas of offense, as I was more about defense and marking previously. Through analyzing real handball matches and handball guides, I figured out how to position while attacking.
Ball control: The final skill that we chose had improved moderately. I focused on body movements like feints so that I could be a better attacker. I learned through research and clips of pros, which showed me how to execute these tough skills.

All of these skills were connected to fitness in the fact that there was endurance built through the rigorous practice that was continued throughout the unit. I personally think that I improved well on this aspect of fitness. The only problem area was in jump and shoot, where I wasn't quite understanding the atmosphere required, but as soon as I got it, I feel like I was able to do it quite well.

We formulated a strategy to learn and improve each of our chosen skills at the start of the unit in Lesson One. Our strategy included studying handball as a sport, learning about its rules and how to play the game, then focusing on six different skills for the duration of the unit. Following that, we focused on different skills and their use, with the overarm shot, underarm throw, chest pass, jump and shoot, positioning, and ball control. We went for the overarm shot because it helps us to throw and catch farther and more accurately. The underarm pass allows for improved ball control, which is particularly beneficial for newcomers to the sport, while the chest pass allows players to pass the ball accurately. Jump and shoot allows teammates to throw the ball faster, more confidently, and without fear of being intercepted. Finally, positioning is important for one's decision-making and governs the principle of handball, while ball control allows the player to improve their control over the ball whilst passing, dribbling, or shooting, and to know exactly where the ball should be. Then we looked up clips of professionals performing the skills, attempted to replicate them, and recorded and photographed ourselves to analyze our results. Following that, we performed in front of our peers all while recording our progress in order to evaluate our development in the future.

We got input on our body posture and positioning from each of our peers, allowing us to focus on our strengths. Finally, on days where we didn't have PHE, we decided to exercise any two of our skills for up to 20 minutes in order to maintain progress. The proof in the form of videos conclusively shows that there is a continuous state of change. As is seen through the evidence, my overarm pass has improved majorly. At the beginning of the unit, my overarm pass was the main problem area, as you can see that my footwork is pretty janky and there isn't much freedom for a good momentum buildup. This is a big issue because, without the momentum, the shot will be weak and ineffective. Throughout the unit, you can see that in the end, my legs were much looser and I could reasonably shoot the ball and pass using the overarm throw. Finally, thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown, we were required to adapt to the space restrictions in our residences for a sport like handball. For example, to maximize the amount of space available, I had to switch around some of the furniture in my room, like my carpet and my bedside table. Furthermore, none of us had the required handball equipment, so we came up with the idea of bundling big pieces of fabric and tying them with a rubber band to make a makeshift handball, as well as placing the colored tape on the floor or wall as a target while training.

Feedback_and_Feedforward: In this unit, we extensively used feedback and feedforward skills, especially in the FAs and individual_reflections. In these, we had to evaluate our peers' work and our work critically and then give the appropriate feedback_based_on_that. This skill was used to build a bridge to improvement in the skills that we selected for the invasion game. As is visible in the_evidence_collected in the personal evidence Drive, the peer feedback formative, and the individual reflection Padlet.

Problem_-_solving: During the unit, we had to use our problem-solving skills to solve the issues whenever we faced them in our unit; however_it was a lot more centered around the beginning of the unit. At_the_beginning of the unit, there was a lot more confusion about the unit, so we had to solve problems. This skill was necessary because we had to make sure we're doing the right things_for task. This can be seen through our discussion, which is uploaded in the shared folder, showcasing our problem-solving to figure out our problems.

Negotiation - While trying to choose the necessary skills for our learning, we had to negotiate so that we could fairly choose the skills that we would focus on. During this period, we had to consider multiple perspectives, justify why each skill was necessary, and practice our critical thinking skills to cut it down to 6 distinct skills. Without negotiation skills, any stalemates between two ideas would never be solved, and we wouldn't go anywhere. The evidence for this is present on the Drive, where there is a video showcasing how we negotiated our ideas and chose our skills.

Supporting_and_encouraging_others: This skill is probably one of the skills we used the least. We missed out on this frequently, hence why we weren't able to capture it. A lot of the time, we'd make a decision that would encourage the growth of our partners, but not often consciously. Thus, you can see this being highlighted in the evidence provided on Google Drive, where there is a video underlining our motivation through my skill practice on the call.

Inclusiveness: In this unit, we undertook challenges and routes which required strengths and weaknesses, forcing us to be inclusive of our peers. For example, we had to evaluate our strengths and weaknesses and then decide how we will practice the unit's skills. If this weren't completed, we would be stuck doing things that aren't useful and things that we are already good at. The Drive includes our evaluation and is good evidence for our skills.
