4) Es negociable y admitido como título de crédito por los bancos en los créditos documentarios.

 

 

Bill of Lading: is a port-to-port shipping document that fulfills the following functions and characteristics: 

1) It is a receipt of the goods shipped and certifies the state in which they are. 

2) Prove the existence of the Contract of Transport, whose conditions usually appear on the back. 

3) It accredits the property title of the cargo transported in favor of its legitimate holder and by means of which it is exclusively entitled to receive the goods at the port of destination. 

4) It is negotiable and admitted as title of credit by the banks in the documentary credits.

The CMR bill of lading: is a document that contains a standard set of conditions of transportation and liability, replacing the terms and conditions of individual companies.

Through the CMR bill of lading two facts are confirmed:

That the carrier, the road transport company, has received the goods.

That there is a transportation contract between the merchant and the carrier.
