         <description><![CDATA[<div>I used to have students interact with sentence/paragraph pieces to try to be the first team to stand in the correct order.  I made a zoomers vs. classroomers online version for easy grouping, but you could also do mixed groups or break out rooms so that both groups could talk.  I wanted both groups to hear the music, though, so I kept them all in the main room.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Remember to ask for feedback from zoomers about sound. Does the link work? Can you edit the doc? Can you hear me? Is the music too loud? etc.&nbsp; I find that using youtube for music allows for you to lower the volume on the video so that the zoomers shared sound is just right while you can still use your speakers for the in class students to hear.&nbsp; I noticed that spotify may not be as effective because the speakers won't play as loud if the spotify volume is low, but I guess it depends on the song...<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This site lets you make your own jeopardy games.&nbsp; In trying to get kids comfortable on camera and using their mics, we played this lowstakes game.&nbsp; After forming numbered teams, I call on someone from the first group to unmute themself and pick a category.&nbsp; After I read the question, it's fair game for anyone on any team to "buzz in" using the raise your hand feature.&nbsp; I then call on them, and they unmute to say their answer.&nbsp; That team gets points.&nbsp;<br><br>Cameras&nbsp; were on.&nbsp; About half to 3 quarters of each class got their cameras on, and some we found out didn't have working cameras/mics or had loud things happening at home.&nbsp; One student we heard tell a family member to be quiet and sounded pretty frustrated.&nbsp; So let's all remember that sometimes kids have a reason to not be on camera or use their mic because of things going on at home.<br><br>I gave students an 8 minute brain break to get themselves comfortable to get on camera (whatever it was they needed to do like move rooms, wash up, etc.) I know Godfrey gave 5 minutes and had like a calming youtube vid up while they got their cameras on.&nbsp; It went well for both of us.&nbsp;<br><br>Here's how it went in one of my classes. Sorry, you can't see all the kids on screen! I'm not sure how to do that.  I even tried for my next class to change zoom settings, but I'm wondering if it's because I had the shared screen on the monitor and the zoom screen on my laptop.</div>]]></description>
