To protect your self from any type of threat, you need to have some precautions setup, such as antivirus, this is the most common and most successful way of keeping threats away from your computer, so if you download any malicious file or go onto an un-trusted website, your antivirus will take care of all of it.

If your a business, you can setup backup systems, monitoring and maintenance routines to keep your system(s) safe.

Here is a list of some of the data that is protected by The Data Protection Act 1998:

- Medical Conditions
