I actually enrolled this MOOC because I couldn’t finish a very interesting MOOC from the Teacher Academy about PBL as I mistook a date for delivering the last activity so I became very disappointed 😢 with myself and my misunderstanding on the information provided. Elearning requires mostly self-motivation but also discipline to the allocating time of work. It is an engagement. Our choice but still remains an obligation. I agree with Anna from Napoli. Most of the times commitment, motivation and goal setting is partially a matter of the overall circumstances that affect everyday school life and allow us having time for ourselves and our professional development.
I also like learning on my own pace, keeping a learning diary (a technique I learned through the school academy courses) and elaborating things I learn with more information found on the internet, thus most of the time I seem to run out of time!!! :)

I think, the most effective way is communication with other learners when learning online. Communicate with others enable me to see different experiences and methods. Also, doing different tasks with web 2.0 tools provides improving my teaching and learning skills.

I prefer to learn by my own, because this way I can manage my time more easily. I'm a visual learner; I like to read, write and use mind maps. To make things clearer I like debating my doubts with others.

I prefer to learn on my own but you need to have some basic knowledge about what you want to acquire. In our schools we have no time to do that and online learning allows you to achieve more goals.

I have taken only face to face courses, it's my first time at an online course. What I know about my learning style is that I need to take notes, to have something to go back to when needed. Time/luck of time and private environment make online courses very appealing these days when we are on the rush.

I prefer e-learning because I don’t have time and I can choose courses more responsive to my skills and interests.

In my opinion MOOCs are a great opportunity to expand skills in a way that is easy to be included in the daily life.
I think I might struggle with my time management. So I decided to reserve fixed dates in my calender for succsessfully complete each module of the MOOC.

As a soon to be graduate teacher, who also has 2 casual jobs, participating in face-to-face PD courses is rather challening. I prefer to work at my own pace, and individually. I am a rather independent learner, so by working online I am hoping to connect with people that I wouldnt usually do face-to-face and build relationships with those who are in the same domain as me

strengths of my way to learn online: I give my best when I can have a visual information approach, working with different kind of materials (video, mind map, slides), I dislocated time management tasks

Even when I take online courses, I generally have to take notes on paper in order to elaborate all the information I get from multiple sources and media (videos, presentations, articles, etc.) I think that I can learn a lot when watching short videos, because I am both a visual and an auditory learner; in addition, I am fond of online videos so I find this tool very motivatin as well. Sometimes, however, I feel a little bit overwhelmed and disoriented by the great amount of knowledge I can get online and by the many links between different topics. I reckon it's better to set our own personal goals beforehand in order to get the most out of online resources. Another positive aspect of e-learning is that you can easily learn at your own pace, fast forwarding or going back whenever you need it.

Not only can I watch a video/ clip, i need to definitely write some notes to keep myself on track and help to let the info sink in, I need a surrounding that is easy, on the go - thats why online learning is great for me!
