Building trust with students is one of the most important steps to effective support and mentorship. Open communication is an essential component to my teaching. Providing various platforms for communication for various needs is something I’ve learned is important in student learning. I plan to do so by providing electronic communications in all languages, providing newsletters, and preparing various modes to engage students. Responsible communication is my main priority to ensure to my students feel welcomed, heard, and can speak their minds.

The Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) 2013, replaced the previous funding system with a more equitable approach, providing base funding per student and additional funds for students with specific needs, such as low-income students, English learners, and foster youth.

“Instead of a potpourri of grants that limit local discretion or new LCAP compliance requirements, lawmakers could create incentives, such as additional weighted funding for districts willing to create new programs such as language immersion schools. They could even establish financial rewards for districts based on student outcomes (Ramanathan 2023).”

As we entrust the world with our opinions, methods, and findings, the goal of teaching opens a new door to every student. I believe that we are the influencers of a growing community of active and responsible people. Autonomy in children can shape many futures.
