French and Indian War (1756 - 1763)

This war is also known as the Seven Years' war and was a war that occurred between the French and British. It started because the French expanded their North American territory into the Ohio River Valley. This upset the British because they claimed the same territory. The British ended up winning. Due to their win, they had war debt and decided to tax their colonies in order to pay it off.
