         <description><![CDATA[<div>The amount of water used on the seeds does not have an effect on the germination of the seeds.&nbsp; After graphing the data on a bar graph and adding error bars, there is no clear answer to the claim.&nbsp; This is because all of the error bars are overlapping.&nbsp; So, you cannot make a final conclusion on what amount of water germinates the most seeds.&nbsp; It means that no matter the amount of times the experiment is conducted there will be no clear answer on how much water will germinate the most seeds.&nbsp; So, the amount of water used on the seeds does not have an effect on the germination of the seeds.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Moisture increases the number of isopods in a choice chamber.&nbsp; The data collected when graphed on the bar graph shows that isopods prefer to be in a moist environment. The error bars also prove this because they do not overlap at all meaning that this experiment could not have gone any other way.&nbsp; The data graphed shows that on average 7.1 of the 10 isopods preferred to stay in the moist area. The reason for this is that over half of the thousands of isopod species live in the ocean or in large bodies of water.&nbsp; Some of the rest live in moist areas of backyards. They live there because isopods have gills, meaning that they could dry up and die if not in a moist area. This means that isopods' natural habitats are often moist or wet. This explains why the isopods looked less stressed and preferred to go to the moist side of the choice chamber.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The textured side of the choice chamber is preferred by the isopods.&nbsp; The data collected and graphed on the bar graph shows that 8.9 of the 10 isopods prefer to sit in the soil of the textured side, over the smooth side of the choice chamber. &nbsp; The error bars on the graph for both the smooth side and the textured side show that if the experiment was run again the data would still prove the same thing because the error bars do not overlap, this means the data is extremely reliable. &nbsp; Isopods preferred the textured side because naturally, isopods live in moist, dark areas. This is also why the isopods dug into the dirt and hid in it. &nbsp; This explains why the isopods looked less stressed and preferred to go to the textured side of the choice chamber.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The nitrate levels in the Petri dishes will increase the growth of the duckweed. The data recorded on the data chart that was collected across the 10 days of the experiment show that the nitrate levels increase the duckweed's growth.&nbsp; This is because nitrates are nutrients for the duckweed meaning increase in nitrate levels will cause duckweed to grow faster because it supplies the plant with more nourishment for the plant.&nbsp;Although the error bars for 0mL nitrate and 1.5mL nitrate do not overlap, showing that if the experiment was to be repeated, the claim would not change, because the graph shows logistic growth, if there was too much nitrate the duckweed would reach carrying capacity and die out. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The amount of light does have an effect on the rate of photosynthesis of a plant.&nbsp; As recorded and shown in the data table it is obvious that the discs that were exposed to more light photosynthesized more than others.&nbsp; At the end of the 12-minute experiment, the no light section had an average of 0.1 discs that photosensitized, the partial light section had 1.2 discs that photosensitized, and the full light section had the most photosensitized discs, 3.1 average number of floating discs.&nbsp; Another example of why the amount of light does have an effect on the rate of photosynthesis of a plant is shown in the graph where the full light bar is significantly higher than the no light bar. This is all because when the plants did not have any access to light they could not create any oxygen inside the discs to rise to the top of the carbon dioxide water, while the full-light plants had a lot of light to use to photosynthesize and create oxygen, allowing those discs to float to the top faster than the partial light discs.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Solute concentration affects the direction and rate of water movement in potato cells.&nbsp; As shown in the recorded data, the potatoes soaking in the water with a solute concentration of 0.0 had a greater mass change than the potatoes soaking in a solute concentration of 0.8.&nbsp; The masses of potatoes that were in any solute concentration over 0.0 decreased up to 34.80%, but the potatoes that were in the water without any sugar increased in mass by up to 27%. This is because the movement of water across the potato's cell membrane depends on its surroundings, meaning that when there was a lower concentration of solute outside the cell the mass of the potato gets bigger, but when there was a higher solute concentration outside the potato cell the mass of the potato got smaller. &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The longest phase of mitosis in onion root tip cells is Interphase. As recorded in the data 490 of the 887 cells were in interphase. The reason for this is that interphase is the part of the cell cycle where the cell prepares for division. This is where the cell's chromosomes are replicated. But, it is important that there are no mistakes in the new chromosomes so, there are checkpoints used to get rid of cells that are messed up or replicated incorrectly. So, because of the two checkpoints that avoid mistakes, the DNA synthesis, and the cell growth that has to occur in interphase, it is the longest stage of mitosis.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
