         <description><![CDATA[<div>Explanation: This is a contraption that consists of two bags. One contains water, inside a bag containing ammonium nitrate, calcium ammonium nitrate. When the inner bag of water is broken by squeezing or applying pressure to the contraption, it is allowed to dissolve the solid in an endothermic reaction. This means that it absorbs the energy. The temperature was room temperature, but once activated, and the reaction occurs, it is cold and now "ice like". </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Explanation: Milk souring is a chemical change because it is an irreversible change. Milk is made of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen, and when it reacts to exposure to oxygen, and form bacteria. It forms lactic acid bacteria, which ends up in milk in this situation rather than plants. This transforms the milk into lactic acid. More acid means more hydrogen ions, a lower pH and a sour taste. The bacteria causes the milk to rot, which produces an unappetizing odor.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Explanation:  Milk contains the protein, casein. Red Bull heavily contains acid. Casein in the milk has a negative charge, and there are many unbounded pieces floating around. The base (milk) neutralizes with the acid (Red Bull). Rather than resisting each other, the milk curdles because the casein clumps together. Due to this reaction and the clumps of casein, the top of the cup where both substances were poured turns into a solid yet spongey block.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Explanation: Before baked, the cookie is actually just liquid batter, that it inedible due to the raw egg. It has no real purpose. However, a chemical reaction occurs as the cookies are baking, causing solid cookies to form. The baking soda (bicarbonate) from the batter and carbon dioxide react with each other to form cookies. This all happens after the baking soda heats up. After, the new substance produced is a cookie, which is a change from a liquid to solid, the cookies are hot during the reaction, not room temperature, they change from light brown to dark brown, and a sweet, warm scent is given off.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Explanation: Sugar beings as white powder miniature crystals, but turns into a liquid when caramelized. What happens is the sugar is exposed to carbon dioxide and bubbles form. Slowly the bubbles simmer down, and what is left is a thick syrupy liquid. This sweet treat, caramel has a very complicated creation process. The caramelization of sugar is a chemical change because it produces a new sweet scent, bubbles in the process, gets heated up to melt, it goes from white to brown, and the caramel eventually dries to form a solid.</div>]]></description>
