This is an inclusive skate for children with special needs and their families to enjoy a low sensory skate with sleds and walkers provided by Variety Children's Charity of Greater Kansas City available!

When clicking the link to purchase tickets-put in date and click on 10:00 am . It will come up with a box saying you selected the sensory friendly time . 

Sensory Sundays are returning to Science City at Union Station from 10:00 am to 11:30 am.

This time is aimed at providing a more welcoming space for our guests on the Autism spectrum and those with sensory sensitivities.

Sound effects will be turned off, and there will be only minimal lighting effects. Special sensory-friendly activities will be available, and there will be designated quiet areas. At 11:30 am, our staff will begin turning on Science City’s regular noises, lights, and attractions, ready for opening to the general public at 12:00 pm.

Those attending in the morning will be welcome to stay throughout the day until close at 5:00pm.

Our Sensory Friendly Film program is available on the second and fourth Saturday (family-friendly) and Wednesday evenings (mature audiences) of every month.
