         <description><![CDATA[<div>The IB Mission states a number of the IB Learner Profiles in its Mission Statement. Some are right there (inquiring, knowable, caring) and others a bit less noticeable(open-minded).&nbsp;<br><br>Supporting: Teachers with developing/tweaking curriculum that is rigorous and assisting students to see themselves as life long learners.&nbsp;<br>Looking for a way to loop math in naturally to the ATL's and Learner Profiles that we are focusing on during that unit. <br>Plan: Meeting with groups of teachers and supporting them with materials as needed, learning more about areas that I don't feel as confident in and work hard to become more of a risk-taker myself.&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The IB mission is to create globally minded citizens and make the world a better more peaceful place. The Learner profiles are qualities that people need to embody in order to do so.&nbsp;<br><br>Supporting: I imagine that I would help to make the curriculum and materials being taught obtainable for all students. I also point out when I notice the students embodying the learner profiles.&nbsp;<br><br>Plan: I meet with the teachers I work with to discuss units. I supply and. create materials that are exposing all students to the material being presented, such as using adapted books or trying to incorporate some of the themes into my lessons if possible. I plan on taking what I learned in this pd to help to become stronger in my areas that I need to grow in as well.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>It seems as though the learn profiles are lines or pathways that lead to the IB mission. In order for students to be globally minded citizens who value the process of continual learning, they need to embody the profiles.<br><br>Supporting: I think that I can contribute and help offer ideas when it comes to the language plan that is an integral part of IB, especially for the tiny learners in our school. Students in an IB school should possess communication skills across languages as stated in the leaner profile and I hope I can help contribute in this area. I also hope to bring ideas and action back to my kindergarten team for ways to integrate the state standards and IB curriculum in a way that is valuable for kindergarten inquirers.<br><br>Plan: I plan to meet with my team regularly to share ideas and reflect on what we've been doing well and what we can do better on. I hope to bring new ideas from this training to add to my team's great ideas so we can collaborate meaningfully to promote a successful kindergarten experience for all learners.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The IB mission and Learner Profiles seem to be interconnected. By asking questions, being knowledgeable about the topic at hand, and by caring for yourself and others the result is respect for self and others as well as understanding yourself and others.<br>Developing the learner profile traits teaches people to be able to work independently and in groups with in open mind by collaborating on a common goal working toward success for all, knowing that what has been learned in the classroom is transferred and acted upon in everyday life.<br><br>Supporting: I could support others in seeing how different academic areas can be integrated into a thematic unit that involves student choice.<br><br>Plan: Meet with teachers and collaborate, be a role model and have other teachers watch some of my lessons that include co creating rubrics and showing how student choice leads to student engagement and how learning now has meaning for the student.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The IB Mission incorporates many of the Learner Profiles. The Learner Profiles are like smaller broken-down, and more concrete ways to achieve the larger goal. By working towards the Lerner profile characteristics, you are in essence working towards the IB Mission.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Support: I could support our Puentes Team to continue to celebrate languages. Through many of the ATL’s and the Learner Profiles, IB focuses on language and communication. We get to utilize multiple languages in our classrooms to enhance learning. &nbsp;</div><div><br>Plan: Discuss regularly with our Puentes Team how to incorporate more IB language into our everyday practices. &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

In order to achieve the IB mission we must have a clear understanding of the learner profiles and be reflective on them.&nbsp; The learner profiles are little steps towards the big goal.&nbsp;<br>Support: I can help by creating more time to meet as a team to share ideas and ways we each incorporate the learner profiles and ATL's into our daily teaching practices to help our students.&nbsp;<br>Plan: I plan to meet with my team regularly and dedicate more time on being reflective on the Learner Profiles.          <description><![CDATA[<div>The Learner Profile demonstrates all the traits we want our students to continually reflect on and try to improve. Working on each one will foster well rounded young people that feel capable and empowered to have a positive impact on the world. This is also what our school has been about for the past 30 years, developing the whole child so when they leave our school they are ready, confident and have all the tools they need to be change agents in their communities.
