Going off the reading, "the girl hunt", the most troubling aspect of masculinity towards women is manifested is the group dynamics of males going out, and the way they hold each other accountable for living up to the standards of "being a man". Second only to the labeling of women as "prey", essentially boiling them down to objects.

This music is targeted at heterosexual males and ties easily into "the girl hunt", accurately assessing and showing how straight males act when intoxicated and in a group of their peers being held accountable to the guy code. Overall, it's giving the impression that masculinity in "pop" or "alternative R & B" is a system which expects men to subjugate women within the hook up culture. Though not all songs in the genre propagate this attitude, it's important to regonize the tone of misogyny that exists within it.
