Karen is an easy to work with and knowledgeable teacher, she will always help and make sure you understand the concepts.

My one tip would be to take the learning outside of the classroom also.
Experiment with personal projects throughout the course and take relevant online courses in your spare time it goes a long way with maximising your learning when you do get the 1 on 1 learning with Karen.

My tip for new students: 
Be patient and embrace mistakes. Learning to programming takes time/years, so stick with it and focus on one programming language instead of jumping around. Each day you'll get a little closer to your goals.
