1. Biopesticides : production of pest resistant plants such that the amount of pesticides being used is decreased. example, Bt cotton, Bt corn etc.
2. Gene Therapy : it allows correction of a genetic defect that has been diagnosed in a child or embryo. The defective genes are replaced by the normal genes.
